Describe Your Game: In one or two paragraphs, describe the essence of your game idea. Try to capture what makes it interesting to you and how the basic gameplay will work. State your “X”—both razor and slogan—as a part of your game description.
Slogan: The real life stories of parenting
Razor (features we want in the game):
- Timed (to emphasize stress and time management)
- Perspective building (sympathy)
- Obstacles to complete mundane, but necessary tasks
The game will focus on the “Real Life Stories of Parenting”. The levels within the game will be based off our ideas from (6.6). In the game, we would have a player that starts from one point , proceeds through the game and finishes at an endpoint. The gameplay focuses on the main characters who maneuvers across a series of obstacles and completing tasks along the way. The game is similar to how “Donkey Kong” is played. There will be challenging tasks that have to be completed before getting to the finish line. An element of strategy within the game will develop as you solve certain challenges first before advancing. After completing the task and successfully getting to the finish line, the character will then proceed to the next level. This form of basic gameplay is competitive and can be addicting. If you get caught along the way you will be reset to try the level again. It is our intention to use basic controls within the game so it will not confuse the player.
